Time for the Olympic party

by Lorenz Kraus

Who Betrayed You, America?

Republicans who are honest with themselves know that the George Bush team, members of the Republican Congress, and the men honored with federal judgeships have betrayed freedom.

Good money is spent organizing and voting for limited government, but our nation slips further and further into a feckless state of drift towards bigger and bigger government. The national debt, created by entitlement schemes, is the biggest threat to our future. It is the best indicator that our nation is off track. Our government is hostile to our liberty.

Simply put, our leaders don't take our lives, our freedom, or our futures seriously.

The Republican Party had ample power to reduce government spending, to make it a parallel priority of their leadership. You can fight wars and cut government spending.  The survival of America is more important than pork barrel projects, fraudulent educational reforms, and ever more self-destructive middle-class entitlements.

The unwillingness of a Republican congress to attack government spending, especially, when it could be justified, that we can't waste money in wartime, has never been mentioned. Instead, the September 11th attacks became a pretext to bankrupt America in the name of fighting a "war" on terrorism.

Many Democrats, including people such as Joe Lieberman, feel that the Democratic party is leaving them behind. Moveon.org types use Iraq not merely to show that America is failing, but to express their glee that America is failing. They do not hope to correct failure to achieve victory. They hope to pull the plug on any military activity that destroys states that sponsor anti-American terrorism, such as on Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.

Most leftists don't care about torture committed by communists in communist prisons. They don't care about Fidel Castro's prisons for dissendents. They weren't upset by Stalin's death camps. They only care that America not extract information from killers out to kill Americans. That is why they so upset about interning killers in isolated camps.

How can leftists "support" the troops in Iraq, when they paint our soldiers as sadists, imperialists, and pawns of oil-profiteers? Look at what they said about the Arizona Cardinal football player who was killed by friendly fire, mocking his solid demeanor.

The Left is not in this war. They don't want to defend civilization. They have been preaching an end to Western civilization for 60 years. They have fought capitalism, property rights, meritocracy, science, individualism, "consumerism." They won't be on the side of America in a war for America's survival. The hard-left takeover of the Democratic Party undermines any Democratic alternative to the robotic Republican mind set that faithfully marches along like a phalanx of WWI soldiers marching off to their deaths.

"We stay the course," says our commander- in- chief, when we should adapt to the changing threats, be aware of where our threats really are, and deal with them honestly and openly with the American people. Most Democrats realize that Democrat stands for Defeat. Many republicans realize for the first time that republican and conservative means BIG GOVERNMENT.  After 8 years of George Bush, the term conservative means nothing.

Both parties believe in massive SPENDING, massive TAXES IN THE FUTURE, devastating BANKRUPTCY. What is the difference between bleeding heart liberalism and compassionate conservativism? It's the same thing with a new name.

Disenchanted voters need to invent a new ideology that meets our needs.

Voters need to adapt to the changing political system of dead-end politicians and morally bankrupt political parties. Let us agree. One party threatens us with surrender to Islamo-fascism; the other threatens us a religious fanaticism of its own.

It's time for a new party that addresses our need for freedom.

It's time for a new party that deals with the perils of national bankruptcy.

It's time for a new party that takes seriously the threats we face and decisively destroys these threats once and for all. We don't have to have a 75 year war on terrorism.

We need a new party with a voice for America.

We need a party for hard-core pro-freedom Americans.  We need a party for those who have a will to live to beat the destructive parties that roost in power.

It only takes 5 million people to stop another Republican president from every being president again. We can effectively kill the Republican party by denying it those precious last few million votes it needs to take the White House. If we can do that, we can make the Republican party nominate our candidate for president. They want victory more than they want principle. Those of principle have to deny them victory to be taken seriously. It's time to teach the Republican Party a lesson. You can't spit on our freedom and get away with it!

If we begin now, we will be the force in 2008.

If we let the Republican party know we exist now, we can make a difference in 2008. They will have to deal with the issue of betraying fiscal responsibility, they will have to restore our trust, they will have to get on their knees and beg for forgiveness in bankrupting the taxpayers. If they want forgiveness, then let them nominate the Olympic Party candidate as their party's next nominee.

If we can stand for and fight for freedom they way good Americans can, then we will bring the major parties to their knees. We will solve the problems that Americans face.  And most of all, we will make America freer than we found it.

That is the measure of any leadership.

Origins of the Olympic Party

In 1992 Ross Perot made a courageous decision. He saw where our politicians were dragging our nation, into a self-destructive spiral of debt, recession, and war. So, he jumped in and started a new party. Its main goal was cutting government spending.

Cutting government spending is the solution to debt, deficit spending, inflation of the currency, rising prices (including oil prices), and a host of other problems.

The mere fact that he ran caused two major effects: he spearheaded the defeat of a sitting president and he caused a congressional revolution.

First, he proved that he could suck away enough votes of the fiscal  conservatives from the Republican party, to cause fits for the sitting president. Bush-01 went down in a humiliating defeat, when only months before his popularity was in the clouds.

By proving a third party could seriously affect the outcome of a presidential election, Perot had a second effect on the Republican party.  The stinging defeat made them serious about cutting government spending for the first time—or else they would be a trivial third party.

By toughening the backbone of the fiscal conservatives, by giving them greater stature in our political system, it was possible to reduce government and get rewarded for it. Ross Perot, not Gingrinch,  made the 1994 "Republican Revolution."

The positive benefits were:

1. Bill Clinton couldn't get away with unchecked spending.

2. He couldn't get his national socialist healthcare plan passed.

3. He had to introduce and sign welfare reform.

4. He had to admit that the days of big government were over.

The famed gridlock of the 1990's held government spending in check.

That lead to the great economic expansion of the 1990's and the awesome rise in the stock market. (By contrast, in the Bush years, despite solid corporate profits, stocks have gone nowhere for 7 years. It has taken 7 years for stocks to reach new highs, which only means we have gotten back to where we were before Bush took office.)

Our nation needs that winning formula again. Check government spending, reduce debt, and avoid costly wars.

September 11, 2001 proved that our leaders were looking for any excuse to resume the deluge of plunderous spending. Once they had their excuse, the precious effort and hard work of taxpayers was spent on everything under the sun.  The bastards in  leadership  were not even embarrassed that they were choking the taxpayers to death under a new mountain of debt.

How can it be moral to pauperized your own nation?

Go ask the Republicans!

The current Bush administration threw fiscal restraint to the wind, never vetoing one spending bill. He detached himself from what is in the best interests of our nation. He failed to lead us to a free and secure America with bright prospects for growth.  Endless clouds of war now hang over our nation, as does a historic Mt. Everest-sized debt.

Fiscal conservatives can and must exert their control over government by cutting the legs off the Republican Party once again.

As 1994 shows, America will be better off for it.

In addition, New Democrats, those who are realistic enough to acknowledge the depravity of socialism and the moral failures of welfare-statism, have nowhere to turn. The Democratic party has reverted back to its far-left 1960's mentality.  The Left is more concerned with the lives and rights of our enemies than that of Americans, and it is more concerned with prissy nature, than using American resources to become energy independent.

How can they say they support the troops, when they relish every opportunity to charge them with war crimes? We cannot survive on left wing fantasies and delusions about the world. We cannot survive their stabs in the back. And let's face it, it is a stab in the back when liberals call terrorists "insurgents," tyrants "presidents" and barren tundra at the North Pole a "nature preserve."

Republicans are bankrupting America. Democrats are smearing America.  How can Americans tolerate them? How can you be proud to be Republican anymore? It's an embarassment. More and more republicans are simply tuning George Bush out, just as they did Bill Clinton. More and more have had it with Republicans.

The Republican party was a good part in the 60's...the 1860's.

Today, we need a party that is based on our will to live, a party filled to the rafters with men and women who believe we should make life measure up to our health, happiness, and freedom. We need a party that takes seriously its mission, to make America freer than it was the day before.  We need a party that applauds human innovation. We need a party that cheers self-reliance.  We need a party that affirms property rights, free speech, and economic growth. These are our values. And we need them because we all know our lives depend on them.

Let's build on our will to live. Let's build on our values. When we stand up for our values, we prosper in every way, technologically, spiritually, radiating confidence and courage, what we all cherish as the American spirit.

So welcome to the party that supports all that.
